What is the IOE central admission timetable, and how many merit lists are there?
Three centrally scheduled lists, each published by 10:00 with a complaint hour from 11:00 to 14:00 and a revised list by 18:00. Anything after the third list is run by the individual campus.
There are three centrally scheduled merit lists, not ten. Every one follows the same pattern on a single day: published by 10:00, complaints heard 11:00 to 14:00, revised list by 18:00, then a short admission window opening the next morning.
| List | Published | Complaint hour | Revised by | Admission window |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First | 23 Aug by 10:00 | 11:00 to 14:00 | 18:00 | 24 Aug 11:00 to 27 Aug 15:00 |
| Second | 30 Aug by 10:00 | 11:00 to 14:00 | 18:00 | 31 Aug 11:00 to 2 Sep 15:00 |
| Third | 6 Sep by 10:00 | 11:00 to 14:00 | 18:00 | 7 Sep 11:00 to 8 Sep 15:00 |
Scroll the table sideways for Complaint hour and Revised by and Admission window.
Every admission window closes at 15:00
Not at end of day. All three closing times are 15:00, and a candidate who arrives at 16:00 on the last day has missed it with the next list a week away.
After the third list
Allocation stops being centrally scheduled. Fourth and later lists are run by each campus on a schedule it has to pre-announce. If someone tells you to wait for the fifth list, ask which campus is publishing it and on what date, and ask for that in writing.
The rest of the year, which nobody writes down
- 2 Nov, 17:00
- Cut-off to be admitted and counted in the main round
- 5 Nov
- Unique IOE Roll Numbers issued. Programme change ends here
- 16 Nov
- First year classes begin
- 2 Dec
- Last date a campus may fill a vacant seat
- 6 Dec
- Roll numbers for that late intake
- 14 Dec
- Committee files final admission detail with the Dean’s office
Dates are the published 2083 schedule. One correction worth carrying: the BE/B.Arch Booklet 2083 says classes commence 2083 Asoj 1, while these Guidelines, which are later, say 2083 Mangsir 1 (16 November). The Guidelines govern.
