The college has published a revised third merit list for B.E. Civil, Computer and Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering, drawn strictly on your IOE entrance rank under the 2083 admission procedure. It replaces the third list we announced earlier the same day, so check your name on the revised sheet even if you already read the first one. The sheet is posted at the college, so come to the Tathali campus to find your name, any day inside the admission window, which still runs to 3:00 pm on 8 September. That hour is IOE’s as well as ours, so no campus can extend it for you.

NewSpecial sitting 24 – 30 Sept

If the flood kept you from your exams, you still get a regular sitting. TU has set the week.

Tribhuvan University’s Registrar wrote on 3 September that examinees the 26 August flood hit directly, meaning you were admitted to hospital, you lost someone at home and are performing the last rites, or your house is gone, get a separate sitting for any paper you miss, even one on the revised routine. It is to be held within the second week of Ashwin, 24 to 30 September, at examination centres the Dean’s office names, and it counts exactly like the regular exam. What it asks of you is paperwork: hospital admission papers for the injured, and a certificate from your local body for a bereavement or a lost home. If that is you, the missed paper is not lost. Your Bhadra semester exams move again, to 13 September. This is the second revised routine.

IOE revised the examination routine a second time on the evening of 2 September, two days after the first revision. Only the BE and BAR regular papers moved. They now start on 13 September instead of 7 September, one year at a time over four days, and the order of the years has changed again. Read your own row rather than a date going around in a group chat.

Latest BE/B.Arch results published through 31 Aug

We read the Examination Control Division portal again on the morning of 1 September. Three more notices went up on the evening of 31 August and are the newest results out: the fifth-phase MSc I Year II Part result for three programmes, and two Lateral Entry results covering first, second and third year. Their re-totalling applications are all due at your own campus on 7 September. Before those, four notices dated 24 and 27 August, one of which the portal has filed under the wrong title.

Sixteen model questions were updated for third year, second part. Seven of them are yours.

IOE published updated model questions on 25 August, and this board should have carried them that week. Every one of the sixteen is for third year, second part, which is the group whose first written paper now sits on 15 September at 1:00 pm. Seven are for the three programmes we run. Each one is a whole paper with its marks printed on it, so you can see the shape of your exam and not only its topics.

The 26 August flood destroyed roads and bridges along the Trishuli, and the Prithvi Highway is now severed at Krishnabhir in Dhading with no reopening date. Admission from the second IOE merit list ran to 3:00 pm on 2 September. The third list publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September, and admission from it runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. Those hours are set by the Institute of Engineering and nobody at a college can move them. Our online admission desk completes the whole thing without you travelling. If your family is caught up in this, call us first and we will work around it.

178 seats are allocated in this second list — 89 Civil, 44 Computer, 45 Electronics — in IOE entrance rank order, filling the places the first list’s students did not take. Type your roll number and it tells you in one second whether you have a seat, which programme, and what to do next. Our admission counter took second-list admissions up to the IOE deadline of 2 September 3:00 pm; a seat not taken by that hour goes back into the pool for the third list, which publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September with admission on 7 and 8 September.

Your IOE admission calendar: three lists, and the exact hour of each one

The first and second lists are both finished. The second list’s admission window ran 31 August 11:00 am to 2 September 3:00 pm, and every seat left untaken at that hour goes back into the pool for the third list. That list publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September, its complaints are heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm the same day, and admission from it runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. Every date after that is fixed too. Read your dates once, keep your phone on, and no seat is lost to a day nobody told you about.

Third list admits 7 – 8 Sept

You can only hold one seat: cancel the first before you take a second

Read this before you go to any counter. The second list admitted between 31 August 11:00 am and 2 September 3:00 pm, and the third list follows on 6 September with admission on 7 and 8 September. That gap is exactly when students take a safe seat and then watch their first choice appear on the next list. Switching is allowed, but the order matters: IOE will not admit you anywhere new until the earlier admission is formally cancelled, and cancelling costs money.

Transcripts dispatched for every programme, first through fourth year first part

On 20 August the Examination Control Division published one notice that covers what the last fortnight covered a programme at a time: transcripts have been sent for students of all programmes who passed the Bachelor first, second, third and fourth year first-part examinations held in Baisakh 2083. If you were waiting for your own programme to be named, it now is.

The pass list has been out since 4 August: 7,179 successful candidates, alphabetical, with form number, district and rank. Your rank is what every list is filled by, the first on 23 August, the second on 30 August and the third on 6 September. The entrance portal served scorecards until the end of 4 September and does not serve them now, so from here the pass list is the document that carries your rank.

Our third merit list is revised. Check your name again, and admission still closes 8 September at 3:00 pm

The college has published a revised third merit list for B.E. Civil, Computer and Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering, drawn strictly on your IOE entrance rank under the 2083 admission procedure. It replaces the third list we announced earlier the same day, so check your name on the revised sheet even if you already read the first one. The sheet is posted at the college, so come to the Tathali campus to find your name, any day inside the admission window, which still runs to 3:00 pm on 8 September. That hour is IOE’s as well as ours, so no campus can extend it for you.

  • What changed. Earlier on 6 September this card carried the college’s third merit list notice. The college then issued a revised third merit list, संशोधित तेस्रो भर्ना सुचि, dated the same day, 2083/05/21, and that revised list is now the one that counts. Nothing about the timetable moved: admission from it still closes at 3:00 pm on 8 September. If you already went and read your name on the first sheet, read it again on the revised one before you assume anything either way.
  • The notice covers all three programmes, B.E. Civil, B.E. Computer, and B.E. Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering. The list was drawn on IOE entrance rank alone, in the order the 2083 admission procedure requires, from the applicants who had already applied to us for the 2083 batch.
  • The hour to hold on to is 3:00 pm on 8 September (2083 Bhadra 23). Come in any day inside that window and bring your documents and fee with you. A seat not taken by that hour goes back into the pool, and later lists then run on each campus’s own published schedule rather than the central one.
  • The list itself is not published on this website. It is posted at the college, on the signed revised sheet the admission office issued, and that sheet is the record. Come to the Tathali campus in Bhaktapur and read your name on it, any day inside the admission window above. Our counter works every day inside a window, including the day a deadline falls.
  • If travelling here is hard, ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 before you set out. We will check the list for you, tell you whether your name is on it, and tell you exactly what to bring, so nobody makes that journey for nothing.
  • If you are already admitted somewhere else and your name is on this list, read the "you can only hold one seat" card on this board before you pay anyone anything. IOE will not admit you here until the earlier admission is formally cancelled, and cancelling costs real money. That is the most expensive mistake we see in this exact week, so call us first and we will work it through with you.
  • If your name is not on this list, you have not run out of options and we will say so honestly. Bring us your rank and we will read it against where each programme has closed so far, even when the honest answer sends you to another college. Seats that fall vacant can still be filled later, on a schedule each campus publishes in advance.
  • On the IOE portal we are still listed under our former name, Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). Same college, same TU affiliation held since 2058 BS. Look for JEC when you pick your campus and you will not miss the seat you wanted.

  • The letter (Office of the Registrar, notice 15099, dated 2083/05/18) starts from the postponement: every examination run by the Office of the Controller of Examinations at Balkhu and by the Dean’s offices was put off after the 26 August flood in Rasuwa, and all of them run on the revised schedules those offices publish. For IOE that is the second revised routine of 2 September, which is on this board, with the regular BE and BAR papers from 13 September.
  • It then carves out one group: examinees directly affected by the flood who are absent even from the revised-schedule papers because of it. The letter names three situations in brackets, an examinee admitted to hospital and under treatment, an examinee who has lost a family member and is engaged in the funeral rites, and an examinee left without a home, and adds "and others directly affected by the calamity". It does not define that last phrase. If your case is not one of the three, ask before assuming you qualify, and ask before assuming you do not.
  • The arrangement is made "only on the basis of the certified documents they submit". For the injured, the hospital admission papers. For a bereavement or a lost home, a certificate from your local body, the ward office or the municipality. Get these before the paper you will miss, while the offices are issuing them, and keep the originals.
  • The examination is to be conducted "on par with the regular examination", at designated centres only, within the second week of Ashwin 2083, which runs 24 to 30 September. For examinations the TU Controller runs, the Controller’s Office at Balkhu sets the schedule. For examinations a Dean’s office runs, which is every IOE examination, the Dean’s office sets it. IOE had published no such schedule when we read this letter on 4 September, and this card is rewritten the day it does.
  • On par with the regular examination means the result is a regular result, not a back paper and not a chance exam. That is the whole point of the letter, and it is why the paperwork is worth doing properly.
  • What the letter does not say: any submission deadline, any fee, any form. We are not inventing one. Treat the paper you will miss as the deadline, and tell the college examination section before it rather than after.

We will check your documents, write the covering letter, and take it to the Dean’s Office with you. If the phones are still down where you are, get a message through a friend or a relative and we will start from there.

Your Bhadra semester exams move again, to 13 September. This is the second revised routine.

IOE revised the examination routine a second time on the evening of 2 September, two days after the first revision. Only the BE and BAR regular papers moved. They now start on 13 September instead of 7 September, one year at a time over four days, and the order of the years has changed again. Read your own row rather than a date going around in a group chat.

  • Three notices went up together on the evening of 2 September: the rescheduling notice (15040), signed by Rina Devi Bajracharya, acting chief of the Examination Control Division, the second revised BE/BAR routine (15041), and a revised MSc routine (15042).
  • The regular written papers now begin 13 September for second year II part, 14 September for fourth year I part, 15 September for third year II part and 16 September for first year II part. Every one of them starts at 1:00 pm, and the papers after the first run every fourth day into the second week of October.
  • How far your own papers have moved depends on your year, and the figure is not the same for anybody: read against the original routine of 31 July, the first written paper has now moved ten days for fourth year I part, 11 days for second year II part, 12 days for third year II part and 15 days for first year II part. The order has changed twice as well. In the original those four groups sat on consecutive days with first year first; in the first revision fourth year went first; now second year goes first and first year goes last. Check your own row rather than a number from a group chat, because it is quite likely somebody else's year.
  • The notice gives no reason beyond further discussion with stakeholders. Techpana reported the same evening that the dates moved after students objected to the previous ones, fourth-year students in particular, on the grounds that the time left to prepare was too short. We have not seen that reason in an IOE document, and the college is not making the claim itself.
  • Only the BE and BAR regular examinations moved. Notice 15040 says so in as many words, and it leaves the old-course Batch Out and final-semester re-examinations on the routine published on 31 August. If those are your papers, the earlier routine is still the document to read and your dates have not changed.
  • Postgraduate students, read this carefully rather than taking either half on trust. Notice 15040 says postgraduate examinations run on the schedule already published. A revised MSc routine (15042) went up the same evening, marked as its first revision. We cannot reconcile those two on the documents alone, so check with your own campus before you plan around either.
  • The routine repeats two rules on every page: no coded signal — highlighting, underlining or any mark in a Code Book, Table, Chart or Graph — is allowed in an exam, and a campus must notify students of the routine at least one day before a paper starts, including if it is revised again. That last clause has now been used twice.
  • Practical and final examinations are dated 31 August to 5 September in both revisions and did not move, so for most groups they are already behind you. Check with your department if you missed one in the days the roads were closed.
  • Nothing about your admit card or your syllabus has changed. Read the full routine yourself before you plan around it — it is a dense table and this card cannot repeat all of it correctly.

We read the Examination Control Division portal again on the morning of 1 September.   • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, fifth phase, 31 August (notice 14962): results for MSEnE Environmental Engineering, MSPDE Power Electronics and Drives Engineering, and MSWRE Water Resources Engineering. Marksheets come from your own campus. A re-totalling application goes to your own campus by 7 September (2083-05-22), and the campus then has to forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by 10 September (2083-05-25).
  • Lateral Entry, first year, 31 August (notice 14963): the I Year I Part regular and I Year II Part re-examination results for the new course, from the 2083 Baisakh sitting. One candidate passed and is listed, roll number 60001 in Computer (BCT). The other three groups on the notice — I Year I Part BME, I Year II Part BME and I Year II Part BCE — carry no roll numbers at all. Re-totalling runs on the same clock as the notice above: your campus by 7 September, the Examination Control Division by 10 September.
  • Lateral Entry, second and third year, 31 August (notice 14964): covers II Year I Part, II Year II Part and III Year I Part on the new course and III Year I Part on the old, from the 2082 Chaitra and 2083 Baisakh sittings. The roll numbers listed as passed are 70030 in II/II Computer; 60015 in II/I Electronics and 60016 and 60017 in II/I Computer; 60027 in III/I Electronics and 60028 in III/I Computer; and 125021 in III/I Computer on the old course. Same re-totalling dates again, 7 September and 10 September.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, fourth phase, 27 August (notice 14887): results for MSCSK Computer System and Knowledge Engineering, MSDGE Distributed Generation Engineering, MSDRM Disaster Risk Management, MSEqE Earthquake Engineering, MSISE Informatics and Intelligent Systems Engineering, MSMcE Mechanical Engineering, and the PhD pre-requisite under PhD.CE and PhD.AR. Marksheets come from your own campus. A re-totalling application goes to your own campus by 3 September (2083-05-18), and the campus then has to forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by 6 September (2083-05-21). The second date cannot rescue a missed first one.
  • Re-totalling, 27 August (notice 14847): BE/BAR II Year I Part, new course, 2082 Chaitra. Marks changed in seven papers and nowhere else. Computer (BCT): Computer Graphics and Visualization for roll number 19514, and Theory of Computation for 20490. Electronics (BEI): Electrical Engineering Material for 18551, and Microprocessor for 22040. Civil (BCE): Numerical Methods for 16634 and 16719, and Theory of Structure for 16659. If your number is not in that list, your application was decided and your result did not move.
  • Re-totalling, 24 August: BE/BAR IV Year I Part re-examination, 2083 Baisakh, all programmes. Nobody’s marks changed. The committee found no alteration in any paper and every result stands exactly as published, so there is nothing to re-check against a list.
  • ⚠ That last one is filed under the wrong title, and it will cost you a search. The portal lists notice 14733 as "Re totalling: BE/BAR III/I (New Course) 2082 Chaitra", which is the previous notice’s heading. The letter attached to it is the IV Year I Part one described above, dated 2083-05-08. Open the attachment and read the subject line rather than trusting the list. The genuine III/I re-totalling is the 21 August notice further down this card.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, third phase, 24 August (notice 14734): results for MSCEM Construction Engineering and Management, MSMSE Material Science and Engineering, MSMDE Mechanical Systems Design and Engineering, MSEDM Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, and MSNCS Computer Engineering Specialization in Network and Cyber Security. Its re-totalling clock was the short one and the first half of it has run out: applications had to be at your own campus by 31 August (2083-05-15). If yours is in, the campus still has to reach the Examination Control Division by 3 September (2083-05-18), so it is worth checking with your examination section that yours was forwarded.
  • Re-totalling, 21 August (notice 14671): BE/BAR III Year I Part, new course, 2082 Chaitra. Marks changed in eight papers and nowhere else. Civil (BCE): Design of Timber and Masonry Structure for roll numbers 22837, 22838 and 22882, and Foundation Engineering for 22422 and 22681. Computer (BCT): Advanced Python Programming for Data Science for 26305, Database Management System for 26983, and Probability and Statistics for 26201.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, second phase, 21 August (notice 14670): MSCCD Climate Change and Development, MSEEB Energy Efficient Building, MSGsE Geospatial Engineering, MSGtE Geotechnical Engineering, MSIEM Infrastructure Engineering and Management, MSInE Information System Engineering, and MSTrE Transportation Engineering. Both of its re-totalling dates, 28 and 31 August, have now passed.
  • Re-totalling, 20 August (notice 14643): the committee changed marks in five papers only, and left all others as published. The five are I/I BCE Computer Programming for roll numbers 10098, 10118 and 10881; I/I BCT Computer Programming for 13565; and I/I BCT Fundamental of Electrical and Electronics for 13561.
  • Before those: BE/BAR II Year II Part 2083 Baisakh new course on 19 August (notice 14611), CIVL II Year II Part 2083 Baisakh new course on 19 August (14610), and MSc I Year II Part 2083 Baisakh on 18 August (14563).
  • Open the individual result notice for your programme on the IOE Examination Control Division portal and check your symbol number carefully.
  • Read the correction notice first if you are in ARCH or ELEC I Year II Part. IOE published that result on 14 August and a Correction Notice on 16 August (14490), and the corrected notice is the one that counts.
  • Earlier in the run: INDU III/I on 12 August, and re-totalling notices for BE/BAR II/I old course on 9 August and III/I and III/II on 6 August. Use the portal entry matching your year, part and course.
  • If a result did not go the way you hoped, talk to your department or the college examination section now rather than at the next exam. The re-totalling clock on these three results did not move when the routine did: the application is due at your own campus on 7 September, the campus forwards it to the Examination Control Division by 10 September, and the regular BE and BAR papers begin on 13 September. There is a card on this board with the routine dates for every year.

  • The notice is at ioe.tu.edu.np/notices/14760, dated 25 August, and it links every paper as its own PDF on portal.tu.edu.np. Its whole text is that some model questions have been updated and published for your reference, followed by the list. We opened all sixteen before writing this card. We also posted it a week after IOE did, which is our delay and not theirs.
  • Every one of the sixteen carries the same header: level BE/BAR, Year/Part III/II, Full Marks 60, Pass Marks 24, time 3 hours, examination Regular. If you are not in third year, second part, none of these is your paper.
  • The seven for programmes we run. Civil (BCE): Estimation and Costing (ENCE 351), Irrigation and Drainage Engineering (ENCE 354), Professional and Social Engineering (ENCE 355), Transportation Engineering II (ENCE 353). Computer (BCT): Artificial Intelligence (ENCT 351), Simulation and Modeling (ENCT 353). Electronics, Communication and Information (BEI): ICT Project Management (ENCT 355).
  • One of those is filed in a way that will cost you the search. ICT Project Management carries the course code ENCT 355, and ENCT is the Computer prefix, but the header on the paper says Programme BEI. It is the Electronics paper. A Computer student who opens it because of the code is reading somebody else’s model question, and an Electronics student searching the list for a BEI code will not find it at all.
  • The other nine are for programmes we do not run, so you can stop looking for yours among them: Advanced GIS and Remote Sensing (ENGE 351) and Project Engineering and Management (ENGE 352) for Geomatics, Automobile Component Design I (ENAM 352) for Automobile, Computational Fluid Dynamics (ENCH 355), Corrosion Engineering (ENCH 351) and Mass Transfer II (ENCH 353) for Chemical, Electrical Drives (ENEE 353) and Industrial Instrumentation and Automation (ENEE 351) for Electrical, and Operations Research (ENIE 352) for Industrial.
  • Read the header on the paper in front of you rather than trusting this card for it. Mass Transfer II prints Pass Marks 40 where the other fifteen print 24, and Advanced GIS and Remote Sensing prints its examination as "Model set" where the rest print "Regular". That is what those two documents say. Where a document and this card disagree, the document wins.
  • They are not one template, and that is the useful part. Estimation and Costing sets eight questions with the marks in brackets and a building drawing to take quantities off. Artificial Intelligence sets ten in a table with a Unit column mapping each question to a syllabus unit and marks split as 2+4=6. Simulation and Modeling carries that unit column too. ICT Project Management prints chapter numbers beside each part. Professional and Social Engineering runs six questions on a single page. So a model question shows you how the marks break up and how long you get per mark, not only which topics to revise.
  • It is a shape, not a question bank. Nothing on these papers is promised to appear in your examination, and a topic that is missing from one is not a topic you can drop. The honest use of it is to sit down with a clock and find out whether you can actually finish sixty marks in three hours.
  • Third year, second part is the group whose first written paper moved from 3 September to 15 September, 12 days later, starting at 1:00 pm. Those dates are on the revised-routine card on this board. That is the reason these are worth an evening this week rather than next.

The highway is cut and the admission clock is not. You can take your seat from a phone.

The 26 August flood destroyed roads and bridges along the Trishuli, and the Prithvi Highway is now severed at Krishnabhir in Dhading with no reopening date. Admission from the second IOE merit list ran to 3:00 pm on 2 September. The third list publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September, and admission from it runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. Those hours are set by the Institute of Engineering and nobody at a college can move them. Our online admission desk completes the whole thing without you travelling. If your family is caught up in this, call us first and we will work around it.

  • This card was first posted on 28 August and rewritten on 31 August, because both halves of it changed. The toll then was 389 dead and 910 missing. As of 4 September 2026 the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority put it at 1,294 dead and 5,053 unaccounted for, and the road is a worse problem than it was. The card keeps its 31 August date because the admission hours and the road status on it have not changed; only the figures have, and they are read live from the same file /emergency reads.
  • We are sorry. Thousands of families along this river have lost someone or are still waiting for news, and 5,053 people have not been found. If that is your family, stop reading this card and call us on 01-5091616 — your dates are our problem to solve, not yours.
  • What is closed, as of the morning of 31 August: the Prithvi Highway is severed at Krishnabhir in Benighat Rorang, Dhading. This is not debris that can be cleared. The Trishuli has eaten the base of the road and the carriageway has subsided, and no reopening date has been published. That is the Kathmandu–Muglin–Narayangadh road, which is the road you are on if you are coming to the Valley from Pokhara, Chitwan, Butwal or anywhere further west. The Pasang Lhamu Highway to Rasuwa is gone rather than closed, and the Friendship Bridge at Rasuwagadhi went with it. China closed the Tatopani crossing on 31 August on landslide risk. Traffic on the Muglin–Narayangadh stretch keeps stopping and restarting as the Bhote Koshi rises. Check with Traffic Police on 103 before you set out, not after.
  • What has not moved: the second merit list published at 10:00 am on 30 August, complaints were heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm the same day, the revised list was out by 6:00 pm, and admission from it ran 31 August 11:00 am to 2 September 3:00 pm. The third list publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September, complaints are heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, the revised list is out by 6:00 pm, and admission from it runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. These hours come from IOE’s Admission Guidelines 2083 and they are central, so no campus can extend one for you.
  • A seat not taken by the closing hour goes back into the pool for the next list. That rule was written for students who changed their minds, not for students whose road washed away, and it does not distinguish between them.
  • IOE has moved a date for this, once. On 26 August the Office of the Dean extended first-list admission by one day, to 28 August, in a letter that names the floods and landslides as the reason and tells campuses to take the admission online or in person. It did not extend the second list, which closed on its published hour of 2 September 3:00 pm, and it has published no extension for the third. Read that as proof the extension route exists, not as a reason to plan around one.
  • If you are already a student here rather than an applicant, your Bhadra semester examinations were postponed on 28 August for the same reason. The routine has been revised twice since, and the regular BE and BAR papers now begin on 13 September. There is a card on this board with the dates for every year.
  • So when a list has your name on it, do it from where you are rather than trying to reach us. Sign in at our online admission desk with the IOE roll number already on your admit card, and complete your admission from a phone. That is the route through the third-list window on 7 and 8 September for anyone still cut off. It is built for a slow connection. Bring your original documents to campus whenever the roads open — the seat is held from the moment the admission is recorded, not from the moment the paperwork is stamped.

  • One thing worth saying plainly, because it is going around: private collections for this disaster are illegal. Relief is running under a one-door policy and money goes to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The college is not collecting anything and neither should the group asking you on social media. Our second merit list is out — search it by your IOE roll number, not by squinting at a scan

178 seats are allocated in this second list — 89 Civil, 44 Computer, 45 Electronics — in IOE entrance rank order, filling the places the first list’s students did not take. Type your roll number and it tells you in one second whether you have a seat, which programme, and what to do next. Our admission counter took second-list admissions up to the IOE deadline of 2 September 3:00 pm; a seat not taken by that hour goes back into the pool for the third list, which publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September with admission on 7 and 8 September.

  • The list is on this site as a searchable page, not a four-page image. Type your IOE roll number (the 2083-XXXX on your admit card), your entrance rank, or your name, and it finds your row. It works on a phone, it works with a slow connection, and you can send someone a direct link to their own result.
  • Every row was checked before it went up. All 178 roll numbers, ranks and names were cross-checked against the Institute of Engineering’s own published 2083 entrance result — the full 7,179-candidate list — and the check re-runs every time the site is rebuilt.
  • Where this list closed: Civil at rank 7179, Computer at 4882, Electronics at 6737, from top ranks of 822, 612 and 1918. On the first list those closing ranks were 6141, 2753 and 5567, so the line moved a long way out in one week — and it moves again on the third list. A rank past the line today is not a no yet.
  • The first list has not been taken down. It is on the same page, underneath this one, and searching your roll number finds you on whichever list you are on. If you were admitted from the first list there is nothing here for you to do.
  • The complaint window for this list closed at 2:00 pm on 30 August and the revised list followed the same evening, so what you are searching now is final. If you still believe a list has you wrong, the procedure lets you petition the Central Admission Monitoring Committee in writing, with your evidence, at [email protected] while the admission period is still running. Raise it with the campus first.
  • Type that address from here, not from the screen. The portal’s own Guidelines page prints it as "[email protected]" — the s and the i transposed — and the link behind it points at [email protected], which is the address that works. When your window is three hours, a bounced email is the whole complaint.
  • Our counter is open every day, including the day a deadline falls. IOE’s own central window for recording a second-list admission ran from 11:00 am on 31 August to 3:00 pm on 2 September (2083-05-17), and that hour was set by IOE rather than by us. A seat on this list not taken inside it goes back into the pool for the third list, which publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September with admission on 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. If your name is on that one, come in any day inside its window, and read the terms before you travel rather than at the counter.
  • The roads are still the problem for some of you. When a list has your name on it, our online admission desk completes the whole thing from a phone, and the seat is held from the moment the admission is recorded, not from the moment the paperwork is stamped. Bring your originals whenever you can travel.
  • Before you pay any college anything, read the "you can only hold one seat" card on this board. Taking a safe seat now and switching after the third list is allowed, but cancelling costs real money, and it is the most expensive mistake we see in this exact week.
  • Once you are admitted, collect the Confirmation Page and verify yourself at admission.ioe.edu.np the same day. A campus that fails to record you on the central portal leaves you not admitted, and the procedure puts that responsibility on the campus.
  • On the IOE portal we are still listed under our former name, Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). If ICE is where you want your name to appear, JEC is the row to look for.
  • Not on this list either? The third list follows by 10:00 am on 6 September, filled from the same priority file wherever a seat here reopens, with admission on 7 and 8 September. Bring us your rank and we will read it honestly against what that list is likely to offer, even when the honest answer sends you to another college.

Your IOE admission calendar: three lists, and the exact hour of each one

The first and second lists are both finished. The second list’s admission window ran 31 August 11:00 am to 2 September 3:00 pm, and every seat left untaken at that hour goes back into the pool for the third list. That list publishes by 10:00 am on 6 September, its complaints are heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm the same day, and admission from it runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm. Every date after that is fixed too. Read your dates once, keep your phone on, and no seat is lost to a day nobody told you about.

  • Every date on this card comes from one document, the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee procedure published on 12 August as Admission Guidelines 2083. You can read the schedule table yourself at admission.ioe.edu.np under Guidelines, and we would rather you did. We read that table against this card again on the morning of 31 August, by IOE’s own server clock rather than a laptop’s, and every remaining row still matches.
  • One date has been moved, once, and it is worth knowing how it happened. On 26 August the Office of the Dean wrote to the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee (letter 203/2083/084, dated 2083-05-10) and extended first-list admission by exactly one day, to 2083-05-12, which is 28 August, naming the floods and landslides as the reason and telling campuses to arrange it online or in person. It moved nothing else. The second and third lists are still on their published hours, so plan on those hours rather than on a second extension.
  • If your own entrance result was marked Withheld, look again. On 24 August the Entrance Examination Board released the hold on 16 candidates — their form numbers are listed in the notice on admission.ioe.edu.np — and declared them eligible for admission. If you are one of them your rank now counts like anyone else’s; bring it to us and we will read it against what the next list is likely to offer.
  • Applications for the first, second and third lists ran from 14 August 10:00 am to 18 August 3:00 pm (2083-04-29 to 2083-05-02). There was never a single central choice form: each campus took its own priority application through its own online portal.
  • Priority amendment is over, and so is the B.Arch aptitude window, which closed at 10:00 am on 23 August. Amendment opened 19 August at 10:00 am (2083-05-03), and the hour each campus had to email its final amended priority order to the central committee was 22 August 3:00 pm (2083-05-06). Every list from here is generated from the order already filed, so there is nothing left to change about your priorities — only about a list that has read them wrongly.
  • First list: published on the morning of 23 August, complaints heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm that day, revised list final the same evening. Admission from it ran 24 August 11:00 am to 27 August 3:00 pm, extended by the one day described above to 28 August. It is closed, and the seats left untaken in it are what the second list is filling.
  • Second list: published by 30 August 10:00 am, complaints heard 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, revised list out by 6:00 pm the same day. Admission from it ran 31 August 11:00 am to 2 September 3:00 pm. Ours is on this site as a searchable page rather than a scan you have to squint at, and a seat left untaken at that hour returned to the pool for the third list.
  • Third list: published by 6 September 10:00 am, complaints 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, revised list by 6:00 pm. Admission runs 7 September 11:00 am to 8 September 3:00 pm.
  • Every list carries that same complaint hour, and it is worth knowing about. If you believe a list has you wrong, raise it with the campus first. If the campus does not hear you fairly, the procedure lets you petition the Central Admission Monitoring Committee in writing with your evidence, at [email protected], while the admission period is still running.
  • One thing to get right if you do write. The portal’s own Guidelines page prints that address as "[email protected]" — the letters are transposed, and it still read that way when we checked at 4:10 pm on 24 August. The link behind the misspelling points at [email protected], which is the address that works. Type it from here, not from the screen, or your petition will bounce on the day it needed to arrive.
  • If you did not get every form in on time, you are not finished. A campus may take extra applications alongside its second and third lists, inside this same timetable, and it has to announce that in advance, including which list your application counts for and the date it must be in by. Watch the college you want, and talk to us.
  • Fourth and later lists follow each campus’s own schedule, published in advance, with every admission recorded through the central portal.
  • Even after classes begin, a campus may fill seats that have fallen vacant, up to 2 December (2083 Mangsir 17), on a schedule it publishes. Go in with your eyes open on that route: a student admitted in it who later cancels gets nothing back at all, deposit included.
  • Admission work may run on public and emergency holidays, so do not assume an office is closed on a festival day. Check before you travel.
  • Once you are admitted, collect the Confirmation Page and verify it yourself on admission.ioe.edu.np. If a campus fails to record you on the central portal you are not counted as admitted, and the procedure puts that responsibility squarely on the campus, so it is worth checking the same day.
  • Every list is filled strictly in entrance rank order. First year classes begin 16 November 2026 (1 Mangsir 2083), and your Unique IOE Roll Number reaches you on 5 November if you are admitted by 2 November 5:00 pm, or on 6 December if you came in through the late window.
  • IOE settled its reserved quota round on 14 and 15 August. That round covers IOE’s own constituent campuses only and changes nothing for an affiliated college like ours, so it never affected an application to us.
  • On the IOE portal we are still listed under our former name, Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). That is us. IOE records take time to catch up, so look for JEC when you pick your campus and you will not miss the seat you wanted.
  • Bring your rank to ICE and we will sit down and go through your priorities with you, free, whichever college you finally choose. We explain it to your parents in Nepali and we call you when a list affects you.

Applying to ICE? On IOE we are listed as Janakpur Engineering College

Imperial College of Engineering is the new name of Janakpur Engineering College. IOE’s admission portal still carries the old name, so when you set your priority order, choose Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). That is us, and all 192 of our seats go into this round.

  • IOE lists us as Janakpur Engineering College on its central admission portal and its seat tables. The name on the record is changing, the college is the same one, on the same TU affiliation held since 2058 BS.
  • Our sanctioned intake on the IOE seat table is Civil 96, Electronics Communication and Information 48, Computer 48. That is 192 in all. Do not read the vacancy column on the central portal as seats going spare. That table only moves as admitted students are recorded at a counter, so it lags the lists by days and it showed all 192 vacant hours after the first-list counter had opened. Seats are allocated list by list against those 192, and that column trails each round rather than leading it. Ask us and we will tell you what we know rather than what a table says before anyone has walked in.
  • One thing to expect on the portal. The Goto Admission Portal button beside Janakpur Engineering College points at jec.edu.np, our old address, which now forwards to this website. You land in the right place, but on our home page rather than on a form. Go straight to icenepal.com/apply instead. It takes about two minutes and asks for your rank, preferred programme, and how to reach you and your parents.
  • You receive the dated fee sheet, the scholarship terms attached to your rank, and free help with the IOE priority form, whichever college you finally choose.
  • Hostel is free for enrolled students, and the college bus from Koteshwor to the Tathali campus is free.
  • No college can hold a seat outside the official IOE allocation. Applying here simply puts you first in the queue for information and support.

You can only hold one seat: cancel the first before you take a second

Read this before you go to any counter. The second list admitted between 31 August 11:00 am and 2 September 3:00 pm, and the third list follows on 6 September with admission on 7 and 8 September. That gap is exactly when students take a safe seat and then watch their first choice appear on the next list. Switching is allowed, but the order matters: IOE will not admit you anywhere new until the earlier admission is formally cancelled, and cancelling costs money.

  • The rule is in the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee procedure for 2083. Once you are admitted at one campus, and your name later appears at another, you must cancel the first admission before the second college can admit you.
  • Cancellation is not free, and the numbers are published, so work them out before you pay anyone anything. Cancel before classes start and the college keeps 10 per cent of everything you paid, or Rs 15,000, whichever is smaller. Cancel within seven days of classes starting and it is 25 per cent, or Rs 35,000, whichever is smaller. After those seven days nothing comes back at all, deposit included. Section 8 of the IOE BE/BArch booklet 2083 sets this, and section 8.6 applies it to affiliated colleges like us.
  • This is the single most expensive mistake we see, and the days between one list closing and the next one opening are where it gets made. If you are unsure whether to take a safe seat or hold out for the third list on 6 September, call us before you pay anyone anything. We will read your rank against where each programme closed on the first and second lists and tell you honestly what your odds are, even if the honest answer sends you elsewhere.
  • A gentler option first: if you are already at a college and only want to change programme inside that same college, the college admission committee can do that on entrance merit, with no cancellation involved. This one has a closing date. Every student admitted by 2 November 5:00 pm (2083 Kartik 17) receives a Unique IOE Roll Number on 5 November (2083 Kartik 20), and once yours is issued the programme change is over. IOE spells the example out itself: a student with a roll number in Computer Engineering cannot shift to Civil at the same campus. After that the only move left is from the full-fee category to the regular category inside the programme you are already in.
  • One warning about the late route. Seats that fall vacant can still be filled after classes start, up to 2 December (2083 Mangsir 17). If you take a seat in that window and then cancel it, the procedure refunds nothing at all, deposit included. Those students receive their roll numbers on 6 December.
  • Whatever you decide, the seat is only real once your name is on the Confirmation Page and verified at admission.ioe.edu.np. If a campus forgets to record you there, IOE does not count you as admitted, and the procedure holds the campus responsible for whatever follows.

Transcripts dispatched for every programme, first through fourth year first part

On 20 August the Examination Control Division published one notice that covers what the last fortnight covered a programme at a time: transcripts have been sent for students of all programmes who passed the Bachelor first, second, third and fourth year first-part examinations held in Baisakh 2083. If you were waiting for your own programme to be named, it now is.

  • The 20 August notice is at exam.ioe.tu.edu.np/notices/14644. Its wording is general — all programmes, first through fourth year, first part, Baisakh 2083 — rather than the programme lists the earlier notices carried.
  • It says the transcripts have been sent. It does not say where to, and it names no collection counter or date, so ask your own college examination section where yours has gone before you travel to Chakupat for it.
  • The programme-specific notices behind it are still on the portal if you need the one naming your own code: 18 August at exam.ioe.tu.edu.np/notices/14562 (BEI, BCH, BAS, BME) and /14561 (BAG, BAM, BGE, BIE, BEL); 13 August at /14416 (Computer, BCT) and /14405 (Civil, BCE); and the earlier multi-programme notice at /14263 (BGE, BCT, BCH, BEL).
  • Check the attached document for your examination session before you assume a notice covers you. A transcript notice is tied to the session you sat, not to the year you are in now.

IOE B.E./B.Arch entrance result 2083 published

The pass list has been out since 4 August: 7,179 successful candidates, alphabetical, with form number, district and rank. Your rank is what every list is filled by, the first on 23 August, the second on 30 August and the third on 6 September. The entrance portal served scorecards until the end of 4 September and does not serve them now, so from here the pass list is the document that carries your rank.

  • The scorecard window has closed. The portal served it to the end of 4 September, one month from the result, and says the file is not available after that. If you saved yours, keep it somewhere you will still have it in four years rather than only in the phone you are holding. If you did not, your rank is untouched: the pass list stays online, and the rank on it is what campus admission actually reads.
  • Open the official notice and find your form number in the alphabetical pass list to read your rank, if you have not already.
  • Your rank is the whole mechanism from here. Every merit list is filled strictly in rank order. It decided what the first list offered you on 23 August, and it decides the second list on 30 August and the third on 6 September in exactly the same way, as well as your fee band with us. Nothing else on your form moves it.
  • The Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee has published the full admission schedule through to the third list. The dates are on the admission calendar card on this board, and ICE follows that schedule.
