IOE's 2080 curriculum applies to every BE student admitted in 2080 BS and later. The syllabus is published for Years I to III of all three programmes, 113 course syllabi in total, and each programme page below lays out its eight semesters with chapters and hours.

Civil carries 13 more credits than Computer and BEI, and lists 3 more courses. Computer and BEI share most of their first two years and separate in Year III.
The shared foundation
Subjects all three programmes study
4 courses carry the same code in all three programmes: Engineering Mathematics I (ENSH 101), Computer Programming (ENCT 101), Engineering Mathematics II (ENSH 151) and Engineering Mathematics III (ENSH 201). Civil also teaches these with the same outline under its own codes:
- Engineering Physics: ENSH 152 in BCE, ENSH 102 in BCT and BEI
- Engineering Drawing: ENME 158 in BCE, ENME 101 in BCT and BEI
- Numerical Methods: ENSH 202 in BCE, ENSH 252 in BCT and BEI
- Communication English: ENSH 251 in BCE, ENSH 204 in BCT and BEI
- Probability and Statistics: ENSH 253 in BCE, ENSH 304 in BCT and BEI
- Engineering Economics: ENCE 307 in BCE, ENCE 356 in BCT and BEI
That makes 11 subjects common to all three. BCT and BEI share 21 courses by code.

The syllabus in numbers
Counting every published outline once, the three programmes teach 104 distinct courses (elective options included) with 758 chapters, 4,128 subtopics and 581 laboratory and practical exercises across Years I to III. Each programme page shows every chapter with the teaching hours IOE sets, so you can see which chapters carry a paper.

What is the IOE 2080 syllabus?
It is the revised Bachelor of Engineering curriculum of Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering for students admitted in 2080 BS and later. It replaced the older syllabus whose course codes looked like SH401 and CT401. New course codes start with EN, such as ENSH 101 or ENCT 101.
How many subjects are in the IOE syllabus for BCE, BCT and BEI?
IOE lists 49 courses for BCE, 46 courses for BCT, 46 courses for BEI. Counting shared and identical courses once, the three programmes teach 104 distinct published courses with 758 chapters and 4,128 subtopics in Years I to III.

How similar are the Computer (BCT) and BEI syllabi?
21 courses carry the same code in BCT and BEI, most of them in the first two years, and some electives are offered to both. The programmes separate in Year III, where BCT moves toward databases, networks and software, and BEI toward filters, antennas, embedded systems and communication.
Is the Year IV syllabus published?
Not yet for any of the three programmes. IOE lists the Year IV courses with their credits and marks, and ICE adds each syllabus to these pages and the PDF handbooks when IOE releases it.
