What scholarships does IOE give its own students?

Five separate provisions at constituent campuses, sized as percentages of each programme’s regular student count: 25% on merit from TU, 20% free tuition, 15% and 10% funded from the full-fee side, and 25% of full-fee students.

These are continuing scholarships for students already enrolled at an IOE constituent campus, not admission discounts. They are sized as percentages of each programme’s regular student count and they are substantial.

How they are awarded

On the results of the immediately preceding semester examination. For first year first part, where there is no previous semester, the entrance examination score is the basis. So your entrance rank keeps paying after admission, not just at it.

Three rules that limit them

A student enjoying one type of scholarship or facility is not given another type. They do not stack.
None of them go to a student who fails the semester examination.
All of them are awarded on the recommendation of the scholarship committee.

And one more, for full-fee students

Across all full-fee programmes, one student per admission cohort is given a scholarship to study at the TU regular-equivalent fee.

How do engineering scholarships in Nepal actually work?
Three different things are called a scholarship: a subsidised Regular seat, rank-banded pricing at private colleges, and discretionary support assessed case by case.
What is the difference between an IOE Regular and Full Fee seat?
Regular seats are heavily subsidised and allocated on merit; Full Fee seats cost roughly nine times as much for the same degree. They are separate seat pools with separate counts.
Do private TU-affiliated engineering colleges have to offer subsidised seats?
Yes. IOE requires each affiliated college to admit 10% of its total intake at a fee equivalent to IOE’s Regular rate, without raising its admission target.
