How much does a BE actually cost in Nepal?
At an IOE constituent campus, about Rs 63,087 for four years on a Regular seat and about Rs 5,45,832 on a Full Fee seat, with Rs 2,16,470 payable on the first day of a Full Fee admission.
There are two completely different prices at a government campus and almost every discussion of engineering fees in Nepal confuses them. The gap between the Regular and Full Fee figures is where every private college decision is actually made.

Read the last row before anything else
A Full Fee seat at a government campus asks for Rs 2,16,470 on the day you enrol. That single figure decides more admissions than the four-year total does, and it is the number families are rarely shown first.
Two costs the table does not include
The hostel maintenance line is marked "as per campus decision", so a hostel place at a constituent campus is neither free nor guaranteed. And the booklet states elsewhere that arranging daily transport to and from campus is the student’s own responsibility. Add both to any total you are comparing.
What this means for the private option
A Regular seat is the cheapest engineering education in Nepal by a wide margin and nothing substitutes for it. If your rank reaches one, take it. Below that, the honest comparison is not against Rs 63,087. It is against Rs 5,45,832, because a Full Fee government seat is what a candidate outside the Regular list is actually choosing between.
